Now a national icon, the former tea clipper Cutty Sark had a chequered career. As the age of sail gave way to the age of steam, she switched to the wool trade based in Australia. This book, published in 1924, tells how the Cutty Sark returned to Britain to become a naval training vessel. In tyhe 1950s she was laid up in dry dock in Greenwich where she remains to this day.
