A great compliment to the 3-volume “Grobdeutschland” series. This volume traces the history of the tank formations with “Grobdeutschland”, starting with the battalion and culminating with the regiment. Panzerregiment “Grobdeutschland” had the largest tank regiment in the German Army. In 1944 it had three battalions, one of which was equipped with the Tiger – the only German Army regimental formation so equipped. Excellent accounts of the fighting, especially at “Zitadelle” and Targul Frumos. Some superb late war photos, including Panthers and Tigers as well as interesting assault gun and Nebelwerfer images.

The press has received praise from North American and German writers for professionally produced text and illustrated books, also for providing a platform for authors who present an uncritical and historical portrayal of the German war effort during WW2.
