Detailed biographies of some of the casualties whose names appear on the graves in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery. Lijssenthoek was the location for a number of casualty clearing stations during the First World War and is is the second largest CWGC cemetery in Belgium after Tyne Cot Cemetery. It was one of the cemeteries visited by King George V during his 1922 pilgrimage to the battlefields of the First World War.
