A photographic chronicle of around 100 images of a German armoured group in the desperate last year of the Second World War as they fought a rearguard action with their backs against the coast near Narva in Estonia in February 1944. The book should be of special interest to model builders and collectors of militaria as high-quality photographs from the German side in the latter stages of the war are few and far between. The anonymous Press photographer who took the pictures was briefed to record the everyday life of the soldiers as well as scenes of combat action.
