A Naval and Military Press Dvd-rom that packs all France and Belgium Official Histories for The Great War, including the eight separate map cases into one fully-searchable and user-friendly archive, published in association with The Imperial War Museum.
The Official History of the Great War was the grandest official history ever produced in Britain. Its purpose was to provide "within reasonable compass an authoritative account, suitable for general readers and for students at military schools."
Due to the number of full-colour maps bound in each volume previous attempts to reprint this valuable reference ether floundered, or were produced with the maps in monochrome.
At last the acclaimed work of the official cartographers who had ninety thousand maps at their command an be examined as they intended in full colour. |

| Official History of The Great War Other Theatres DVD-Rom |
Although attention has understandably focussed on the Western Front in the Great War, the conflict was a World War fought across many different theatres. Battles raged from the deserts of the Arabian peninsular and the Holy Land, to the jungles of East Africa, and the beaches of Gallipoli.
No study of the Great War can be complete without an examination of this DVD-ROM. With Britain finding itself assuming responsibility for ever longer stretches of the Western Front it had to simultaneously find men to fight the Turks at Gallipoli, in Egypt and in Mesopotamia to assist the Serbs, and to reduce the garrisons of Germany’s African Colonies.
Covering Constantinople, East Africa, Egypt & Palestine, Gallipoli, German South West Africa, Italy, Macedonia, Mesopotamia, Persia, & Togoland and The Cameroons

| National Archives British Trench Map Atlas: The Western Front 1914-18 DVD-ROM |
In the eight years that have elapsed since the release of our groundbreaking first Trench Map CD-ROM computer technology has taken a huge stride forwards and we are now able to show in excess of 700 maps on this exceptional DVD. In addition to the maps, we have taken the opportunity to include many years of painstaking research by the world’s leading military cartographer, Dr Peter Chasseaud, whose index to trench names and significant places of interest make this DVD a unique and vital core historical resource. Dr Chasseaud’s commentary for each and every one of the 700+ maps further distances this DVD from both its predecessor and the offerings from other sources that have followed the innovative products available from the Naval & Military Press. |

Windows Vista & 7 Compatible!
The late Arthur S. White was for many years Librarian at the Ministry of Defence (Army). During that time he catalogued all the published Corps and regimental histories of the British Army – Regular, Militia, Volunteer and Territorial. In 1980, Roger Perkins began the parallel task of tracing and recording the published histories of the armed forces of the British and Indian Empires. Their two massive bibliographies have now been unified in this single easy-to-consult CD ROM. |
