This is intended as a guide to help the medal collector identify the theatre of war in which a decoration or medal was earned or a soldier died ("Soldiers Died" does not, for example, distinguish between France/Flanders and Italy, and deaths in Palestine or Syria are frequently attributed to Egypt). Dates of arrival of units in a theatre of war are shown and date of any subsequent move or other relevant information, e.g., disbandment, redesignation etc.
