FRENCH AIRBORNE TROOPS WINGS AND INSIGNIA FROM THE ORIGINS TO THE PRESENT DAY
RRP:
£28.00
OUR PRICE:
£7.99
Not only does each parent organisation in the French airborne forces have its own enamelled badge, but the French generally produce a special badge for each major operation or exercise. The Bilingual text of this unique work accompanies hundreds of full color photographs of badges and insignia, (captions in French), covering units as well as operations in the Persian Gulf, Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Chad, Somalia, and elsewhere.
All insignia of the French Airborne Troops are shown in this book, from the origins, before the Second World War, to the present time. The last "inventory" was made more than twenty years ago and the subject deserved an up-to-date and a more modern version. Moreover, several hundred new insignia have been struck since then. To make this “inventory” and to introduce those insignia, the author was helped by the best specialists on the subject who have not hesitated to open their collection and to lend their rarest insignia and brevets. This collectors bible includes hundreds of actual size colour photographs.
