OUR PRICE:
£8.50
The names of 902 men of Denny and Dunipace who served in the Great War, showing those who died and those honoured
This Roll of Honour contains the names of 902 men who at the time of enlistment had their homes in Denny or Dunipace. Of these 154 were killed in action or died on service and sixteen were prisoners of war. Decorations were earned by 31 men. The list of those who died and whose names are on the War Memorial are given by regiments or Service. The Roll of Honour of all those who served is arranged alphabetically, showing the date they joined up, rank unit and place of residence. The dead are identified as well as those who left widows (the only time I have seen such a record), and also those awarded decorations. On the pages facing the lists of names are quotations from poets and famous writers - or photographs of local interest. For the benefiit of sassenach Denny and Dunipace are in the vicinity of Falkirk.
