A delight to delve into and packed with sketches and illustrations showing 'the best way to…' It gives a thought provoking insight into the ingenuity required by latter day travellers for all manner of situations and day-to-day activities which had to be surmounted, as often the alternative was of a rather unpleasant and potentially terminal nature.
