This is a history of the development and operations of German Military Aviation during the Great War 1914-1918, written by the C in C of the German Air Force. It begins by describing pre-war activity and then the period of mobilization and the early advance of the German armies in the west. The account covers not only all operations on the Western Front, but also those in Italy, on the Eastern Front and other fronts, the bombing campaigns of the Germans as well as of the Allies against Germany to the final surrender. Technological progress is also described - aerial photography, meteorology, night flying etc. A very informative and interesting account.
