And in the post-war (pre Iraq) period, that status was cemented by the long nightmare of the Vietnam war, which involved the US from the early 1960s to the m id-1970s. This book, with some amazing combat photographs, several in colour, shows the uniforms, kit and insignia of the US airborne as it evolved during combat in the post-war world.
