This book is subtitled ‘Both Sides Tell the Story of a Savage Jungle War’ and it makes extensive use of information from both sides, thus providing a comprehensive account of the First Burma Campaign. The reasons for the inadequate defence provided by the British are explained and the daring efficiency of the Japanese invaders described.
