Army List published in March 1815, just before Waterloo. Also shows Royal Marine, King’s German Legion and colonial regiments. List of officers on full and half-pay. Full index and succession of Colonels of Regiments.
This is something of an historic document being the Army List issued just prior to Waterloo. First it lists all officers from Field Marshal (Duke of Wellington was appointed FM on 21 June 1813) down to Major, then a list of General and Field Officers having local rank, saying where they were serving in that rank. There follows the usual regimental lists with colonial regiments and the King’s German Legion. Royal Regiment of Artillery, Corps of Royal Engineers and Royal Marines come last. Officers retired on full pay are listed as are those on half-pay, showing whether on English or Irish or Royal Marine half-pay. Following the index is the succession of Colonels of Regiments dating from when the regiment was raised.
